Description: The Kord-M, also known as ASVK and 6V7M-1, is a heavyweight, large-caliber, sniper rifle developed to meet the requirements of the Russian Armed Forces and its Special Operations units. The 12.7mm Kord-M is intended to take out unsheltered enemy manpower and light armored vehicles at a distance of up to two kilometers. Weighing 10 kilograms the high precision riffle can be carried for several miles by a single infantryman. The 12.7mm gun can penetrate armor up to 15mm and cut through concrete and brick walls. The new Kord-M sniper rifle was introduced in October 2016 and is expected to enter service in 2017 with Russian commando and paratrooper units as well as mountain troops.
