Description: The M2 Browning is a 12.7mm heavy machine gun designed in the 1920s entering into service in 1933 with the United States of America Armed Forces. The M2 Heavy Barrel (M2HB) is the main version used by infantryman in the United Sates and many allied nations worldwide. The M2HB-QCB is the latest version allows for quick replacement of the barrel by a field operator. The purpose of this weapon is to take out manpower and light armored vehicles as well as helicopters flying at low altitude. The M2 machine gun can be integrated into a variety of armored vehicles ranging from M1 Abrams heavyweight tanks to Humvee tactical vehicles as well as into rotary-wing aircraft. The M2 heavy machine gun saw combat during World War II and since then has been employed in almost any conflict including the war in Iraq and Afghanistan in the 2000s.
