Description: The M72 is a light anti-armor weapon (LAAW or LAW) designed for use by light infantry and special operations forces without degrading their mobility. The LAAW employs a 66mm rocket-propelled grenade which are available in a variety of warheads. The M72 light weapon can defeat light armored vehicles and is effective against brick and concrete wall. Main battle tanks (MBTs) can be engaged from top, side and rear angles of attack to impact where the armor thick is weaker. Talley Defense (Nammo Talley) of Mesa, Arizona, is the manufacturer of the M72 LAAW weapon system with the M72A7 being the production model as of September 2008.
