Description: The OSV-96, also known as V-94 and dubbed Burglar, is a 12.7mm semi-automatic, high-precision, sniper rifle developed by KBP in the mid 1990s. The OSV sniper rifle has been designed to take out protected and unprotected targets at distances of up to 2 kilometers with a maximum rate of fire of 10 shots per minute. The rifle weighs 11.7 kilograms without the optical sight, it can be folded in two for transport and the magazine has a capacity for five 12.7mm rounds. Besides, the rifle can be fitted with day/night sights. The OSV-96 has been ordered by the Russian Ministry of Interior and special operations units and has been sold to export customers such as Syria. In Syria the OSV-96 has been used to take out hostile snipers hiding behind walls and other fortifications.
