Description: The PKP Pecheneg, also known as 6P41, is a 7.62mm light machine gun developed by Kalashnikov to engage manpower, tactical vehicles and air targets at close range. This light machine gun has a high level of commonality with the PKM machine gun. Compared with previous Russian/Soviet man-portable infantry machine guns the cooling has been improved as well as the accuracy which increased more than twice. Several versions have been developed for use by special operations forces (6P69 Pecheneg-SP), equipped with night sight (Pecheneg-N) and bullpup layout. The Pecheneg machine gun was introduced in 2001 within the Russian Armed Forces and has been exported to several countries worldwide.
