Description: The RPG-27 is a shoulder-launched disposable anti-tank rocket launcher derived from the RPG-26 and designed to defeat tanks fitted with Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA). The fin-stabilized 105mm PG-7VR rocket carries a tandem, shaped charge warhead and is placed inside the sealed launch barrel/container made of glass reinforced plastic (GRP). The tandem shaped charge warhead is designed to pierce armor as thick as 600mm at ranges of 200 meters. The RShG-1 assault rocket variant is equipped with a thermobaric warhead which can take out equipment and personnel at ranges of 600 meters. The RPG-27 is longer and heavier than the RPG-26 and provides greater firepower.
