Description: The Dragunov SVD is a 7.62mm semi-automatic sniper rifle developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s in the extinct Soviet Union entering service in 1963. The SVDS version is equipped with a folding stock. Both SVD and SVDS have been designed to engage moving and stationary targets utilizing a daylight non-detachable sight. Optionally the Dragunov sniper rifle can be equipped with a night sight. The SVD sniper rifles were adopted by the Soviet Armed Forces and a many countries worldwide.
