Description: The Saab Trackfire is a low weight remote weapon station intended for use on both military armored vehicles and small vessels. The Trackfire integrates a sensor package for target search and track, identification and acquisition; a 12.7mm machine gun; and, optionally, a missile launcher mounted a fully stabilized platform. The standard sensor package includes CCD-TV camera, uncooled infrared imager and laser rangefinder. The 12.7mm cannon can be replaced by a 7.62mm or 5.56mm machine guns or a 40mm grenade launcher. The remote weapon station enables all operations to get done under armor which means the vehicle's crew doesn't get exposed to enemy fire. The Trackfire has been designed using modular architecture to conduct modifications in the field such addition of new weapon or add-on armor kits. The remote weapon station also features low maintenance footprint.
