Description: The Multipurpose Ship Fire System (UKSK) is the Russian counterpart to the Western Mk-41 (United States) and Sylver (France) ship-mounted missile vertical launching system (VLS). The UKSK has been designed to fire anti-ship, anti-submarine, land attack cruise missiles, rocket torpedoes and even surface-to-air missiles (SAM). The Russian Navy has selected the UKSK vertical launching system for the Project 22350 class frigates and the Project 20385 class corvettes (8-cell version).
