Description: The WanderB is a fully autonomous mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (mini-UAV) developed by BlueBird Aero Systems utilizing Fuel Cell (FC) technology to conduct Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The mini-UAV has been designed to provide over-the-hill real-time intelligence imagery for 10 hours over a distance of up to 50 kilometers. The operating distance can be extended to 80 kilometers utilizing a more advanced digital communications suite. Besides, the aerial vehicle can operate against strong winds in cloudy and rainy days. The WanderB utilizes a catapult to takeoff and a parachute with airbags for recovery. The sensor package combining stabilized CCD and IR devices provides high quality daylight and night imagery. The system can also serve for law enforcement, disaster relief, peacekeeping and commercial applications.
