Description: The Principe de Asturias is a lightweight V/STOL aircraft carrier which can carry AV-8 Harrier fixed wing aircraft and SH-3 Sea King and AB-212 helicopters. Four Meroka Close-In Weapons systems provide defense against airborne threats in addition to the AV-8B+ V/STOL aircraft.

The Principe de Asturias is the flagship of the Spanish Navy fleet and was commissioned in 1988.
