Description: C-101 is a subsonic, single-engine, tandem two-seat, training/light attack aircraft developed by CASA to meet the requirements of the Spanish Air Force. It is powered by a fuel-efficient TFE731 turbofan engine rated at 4,700 pounds of thrust. C-101 was developed as a replacement for Saeta trainer/jet aircraft. In addition to training, C-101 provides limited ground attack capability. T-36 and A-36 designations refer to C-101s employed by the Chilean Air Force for training and attack roles respectively.
