Description: The Shenyang Aircraft Corporation single-seat F-15/J-15 Flying Shark is a ship-based multirole fighter intended to serve with China's Liaoning aircraft carrier beginning in the 2012-2015 timeframe. It is a copy of the Russian Navy Su-33 Sea Flanker aircraft but incorporating Chinese-made sensors, weapons and technologies which may be shared by the F-16 ground-based multirole fighter aircraft. The F-15 aircraft is fully compatible with the latest Chinese strike weapons including both guided missiles and smart bombs. The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) may deploy the new aircraft in the 2014-2015 timeframe.
