Description: The US Air Force XQ-58A Valkyrie is an stealth, low cost, jet-powered, subsonic strike and reconnaissance unmanned air vehicle developed by Kratos Defense. In addition the drone is also capable of conducting electronic warfare (EW) missions while operating along manned aircraft following the Loyal Wingman concept. The drone has a maximum range in excess of 2,000 nautical miles (+3,700 kilometers) while carrying precision-guided bombs and other payloads. The Valkyrie can be launched using rocket boosters instead of using a conventional runway. The US Air Force Research Laboratory released the video footage of the XQ-48A first flight in early March 2019. It was rejected in favor of a more complex Skyborg program.
