Description:
The AW119 Ke is an enhanced version of A119 Koala single-engine helicopter with increased maximum takeoff weight, payload and improved flight performance and range. Powered by a single Pratt & Whitney turbine rated at 1,002-shp and equipped new design main rotor blades, the AW119 delivers improved flight envelope for high altitude and hot environments. Its dual hydraulic and autopilot systems provide high safety levels. The sling load capability was improved as well. Outfitted as transport helicopter can accommodate up to seven passengers in its comfort cabin. In addition, the AW119 Ke helicopter is well suited for law enforcement, offshore applications, fire fighting and emergency medical services.
AgustaWestland unveiled its AW119 Ke helicopter at Heli-Expo 2007 March 2007 in Florida, USA. AgustaWestland is marketing the AW119 Ke as both new-build aircraft and/or upgrade kit for existing A119 Koalas.
