Description:
The Kazan Helicopters Aktai is a light, single-engine, three-seat multi-purpose helicopter developed to suit a wide spectrum of duties in the commercial range. A single VAZ-3265 piston engine rated at 270-hp at takeoff drives a three-bladed main rotor allowing the aircraft to achieve a maximum airspeed of 190 kph. The cabin flexibility allows to accommodate up to four passengers including the pilot, one pilot and two passengers or one pilot and up to 300 kg of cargo in the rear compartment.
The Aktai design focuses on simplicity and low operating costs. Currently, Aktai is undergoing flight tests with the first helicopter rolling off the production line at Kazan Helicopters planned for 2009.
