Description: The Indian Navy's Khukri-class corvettes have been designed to perform primarily anti-surface warfare (ASuW) missions despite they feature an aft flight deck for a small helicopter such as Chetak. The Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) built four corvettes that were commissioned by the Indian Navy between 1989 and 1991. The propulsion system combines two diesel and two shafts developing 14,400-shp and allowing a top speed of 25 knots. The Khukri-class corvettes weapon system consists of four SS-N-2C Styx anti-ship missiles, one 76.2mm gun, and two 30mm anti-aircraft guns.
