Description: The Indian Navy's Kora-class corvettes are follow-on ships to Khukri-class ships and are also intended to perform primarily anti-surface warfare (ASuW) missions. The Kora-class retains the aft helicopter deck. The Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) built four corvettes that were commissioned by the Indian Navy between 1998 and 2003. The propulsion system combines two diesel and two shafts developing 14,400-shp and allowing a top speed of 25 knots. The Kora-class corvettes weapon system consists of 16 (4x4) SS-N-25 Switchblade anti-ship missiles mounted at the ship's bow, one 76.2mm gun, and two 30mm anti-aircraft guns.
