Description: The PKX class vessels have been designed as the next generation Republic of Korea Navy's patrol boats to be commissioned beginning after 2007.

Each of these ships will be powered by two General Electric LM500 marine gas turbine and two diesel engines provided by German MTU in a COmbined Diesel and Gas (CODAG) arrangement.
