Description: 9M9 is a two-stage, solid-fuel surface-to-air missile (SAM) employed on the Soviet Union's Kub air defense system. Its range varies between 20 and 30 kilometers at Mach 2.8 of speed. Using a semi-active radar-based guidance system, 9M9 is suitable against a wide range of airborne threats such as cruise missiles and aircraft.
