Description: The Dehlavieh is a laser-guided anti-armor missile developed and manufactured by the Islamic Republic of Iran under its weapons program started in the 1980s as a response to the US sponsored arms embargo. The missile has been designed to take out a variety of heavy tanks equipped with explosive reactive armor (ERA) which suggests that it may be equipped with a tandem warhead. Its guidance system makes this weapon highly effective even withstanding the effects of electronic warfare and electronic countermeasures. Besides, the guidance system allows to hit both stationary and moving targets on the ground. The missile system can be transported by dismounted troops and can be fired from the shoulder. The Dehlavieh mass production started in early July 2012 with deliveries due to the regular army of Iran and the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps (IRGC).
