Description: The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) LS-6 is an extended range, GPS-assisted, guided bomb intended to engage fixed-position ground targets from safe ranges for the carrier aircraft. This guided weapon is fitted with a folded wing that extends after releasing and is available with different warheads LS6-500 (500kg warhead), LS6-250 (250kg warhead) and LS6-100 (100kg warhead). The LS-6 was developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to meet the requirements of the PLAAF, Pakistani Air Force and export customers operating aircraft such as the FC-1/JF-17 fighter jet. The LS-6 was showcased at the Dubai Airshow, United Arab Emirates, in November 2013.
