Description: The Russian Air Force A-235 Nudol is an anti-satellite missile developed to take out navigation and communications satellites. The missile is released by a heavy interceptor such as the Mig-31 and then the missile starts a direct ascent path to low Earth orbit. Anti-satellite missiles could cripple US intelligence, navigation, and communications capabilities that are critical for both military operations and civilian infrastructure. The Nudol strategic space warfare weapon was first tested successfully on November 18, 2015.
