Description: The Prithvi Defense Vehicle (PDV) is a high altitude (50-100 kilometers) missile interceptor developed by India DRDO and designed to neutralize incoming ballistic missiles. The PDV is the replacement for the failed PAD (Prithvi Air Defense) missile interceptor. The first missile test firing was carried out in February 2017.
