Description: The Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM) is ground launched short-range missile being developed by India and intended to take out rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft. The QRSAM missile was first test launched in April 2018. This advanced missile system uses a highly mobile truck system and is capable of performing surveillance, target acquisition and tracking on the move. The missile itself uses a solid-fuel propellant to achieve a maximum range of 25 to 30 kilometers, an X-band active radar seeker and a two-way data-link. The QRSAM missile system projected was launched by the Indian government in 2014 and is expected to enter service with the Indian Armed Forces in the early 2020s.
