Description: The Qassed, Herald in English, is a 2,000-lb class guided-bomb family developed by Iran under its weapons program started in 1992 as a response to the United States arms embargo. The Qassed guided bomb passed the flight test-firing campaign in 2006 and entered active service with the Iranian Air Force in 2007.

The Qassed-1 is a 2,000-lb guided bomb designed to meet the requirements of the Iranian Air Force. Qassed-1 was test-fired in 2006 and entered service in 2007. This weapon system was still in mass production in early 2010.
