Description: The S-13 is a 122mm unguided rocket developed by the former Soviet Union for use by a wide variety of airborne platforms to engage targets on the ground. These rockets are deployed on B-13L external pods carrying five S-13s each and compatible with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft such as Su-24, Su-25, Su-30SM, Mi-28, Ka-52, Mig-29 and Mig-35. Its development started in the 1970s entering service with the Soviet Union Air Force in 1983.

The S-13T is a 122mm air-to-surface rocket developed on the basis of the S-13 rocket to engage targets protected by thick concrete and heavy armor. The S-13T bunker buster rocket features a tandem (S-13 penetrating warhead + thermobaric warhead) high explosive (HE) thermobaric warhead suitable to take out buried underground command posts, fortification and hangars exploding from inside. Besides, the rocket can neutralize runways, communications post and other facilities. The warhead can penetrate six meters of earth or one meter of concrete covered by 2-3 meters of earth. The rocket maximum range has been increased to 4,000 meters compared with 3,000 meters of previous models. The S-13T rocket is being provided to a wide range of airborne platforms such as Ka-52 attack helicopter and Su-34 attack aircraft. The S-13T rocket was introduced in 2019 and somehow is the most capable and lethal version of the S-13 weapon developed so far. Its modular allows removal of the second thermobaric warhead turning the S-13T into an S-13 rocket.
