Description: The SS-40 is a 180mm caliber unguided rocket produced by IMBEL for the ASTROS multiple rocket launch system. Its payload varies from High Explosive (HE), anti-personnel munitions, anti-tank mines, etc. SS-40 rocket can engage targets at ranges between 15 and 35 kilometers from the launch emplacement. Each ASTROS artillery system can transport as many as 16 such rockets.
