Description: The ARC-187 UHF-radio was developed in 1987 to meet the requirements of the US Navy for a 100 watt SATCOM (Satellite Communications) radio. It provides Have Quick II anti-jam communications, Line-of-Sight Communications, SATCOM or datalink modes (Link 4 and Link 11).

ARC-187 radios are deployed on US Navy and US Air Force aircraft, at US Air Force fixed sites and on US Army ground systems. AC-130, P-3, CH-53, S-3 and Patriot are equipped with ARC-187 radios.
