Description:
The AN/TPX-56 IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) was developed to meet the US Army's requirements. It provides with target identification, mode of operation, reply code, range, azimuth and jamming indications.
The TPX-56 is lightest, smallest, high-performance interrogator system available in the world. It can serve multiple land and sea platforms. To date, it has been selected by the US Army for its ATNAVICS system and the USMC for the improved HAWK system.
The TPX-56 2500 watt is a high-powered, long range, surface interrogator capable of 14,000 replies per second. It can be upgraded to Mode S standard.
