Description: The F-35 Helmet Mounted Display System (F-35 HMDS) is an advanced display system being developed by Vision Systems International for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft. HMDS is a next generation helmet display system. HMDS features: binocular wide field-of-view (FOV); integrated day/night capability with sensor fusion; highly accurate head tracking hardware and software; digital image source for helmet vision displayed symbology; and custom helmet shell, liner and suspension system for lightest weight, optimal G-load and maximum pilot comfort.
