Description: Thomrad 6000 is a family of standard NATO SATURN waveform radios which are tailored for use on ground, sea and airborne platforms. The TRM 6021 SATURN-compliant manpack radio provides secure ground-to-air communications for Armies, Navies and Air Forces all over the world.

Thomrad 6000 radios have demonstrated fully compatible with the following platforms: F-16, Rafale, Tiger, Apache, VC-10, C-130, Embraer EMB-145 Erieye airborne early warning and control aircraft, Nimrod, surface ships and submarines. These radios can be integrated into infrastructures and/or mobile stations.

In October 2004, the German Ministry of Defense procurement agency signed a contract with Thales for the supply of VHF/UHF TRM6021 radios for the German Air Force, Navy and Army over the next 15 years.
