Description:
The European EJ200 engine has been developed to meet the high performance requirements of multinational Eurofighter-Typhoon fighter. Eurojet consortium (Rolls Royce, MTU, FiatAvio and ITP) developed the EJ200 engine and will supply about 1,500 EJ200s to power 620+ Typhoons.
EJ200 engine is smaller and simpler in layout than current engines, fuel consumption is lower than precedent European engines. The EJ200 engine couldn't only be applied to the Typhoon fighter, but also to re-engine current aircraft or future aircraft programs.
