Description: The F404-GE-102 engine is a derivative of the F404-GE-402 with special features focusing on safety and reliability. The -GE-102 was developed to meet the demands of single-engine KAI's T-50 Golden Eagle supersonic trainer/light attack aircraft.
The F404-GE-102D engine was designed to power the Boeing X-45C single-engine unmanned combat aerial vehicle developed under DARPA-sponsored J-UCAS program. The -102D layout focus on reliability and includes Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC). This engine program also includes development of an advanced exhaust system to fit into the X-45C stealth aircraft.
