Description: The M88-2 engine has been developed to power the Rafale multi-role fighter and incorporates a number of advanced technologies which decrease the fuel-consumption while providing a longer life for most critical components.

The M88-2 achieved initial operational capability with the Rafale M aircraft in 2002. This new generation engine also features reduced Infrared and radar cross section signatures.
