Description: The German Navy MKS-180, also referred to as K131 or F126 class frigate, is a multi-purpose combat ship program aimed at delivering six frigate-sized warships in the early 2030s. The multi-purpose ship is expected to be configured using mission modules to fight a wide variety of targets such as airborne threats, surface ships, submarines as well as providing support for shore deployments. The MKS-180 ship is expected to have a displacement of 10,000 tons with a crew of 180-man. The lead ship of the MKS-180 project is expected to be commissioned in the mid or late 2020s.
