Description: The Taiwanese Navy's AOE-532 ROCS Pan Shi is a 20,000-ton class Fast Combat Support Ship designed to support maritime operations during peacetime and wartime. The ship was built by CSBC Corporation in Taiwan. The ship's weapon system includes a 76mm cannon, two 35mm Millennium cannons and one Phalanx 30mm Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) mounted on the frontal section of the vessel. The Pan Shi also features a flight deck and hangar for helicopter operations. Despite being classified fast combat support ship it can serve as an amphibious assault ship with some self-defense capability against airborne threats such as low altitude flying aircraft and missiles. The 76mm naval gun system may be employed against hostile surface ships and fast crafts. The Pan Shi was launched on March 31, 2015.
