Description:
The Project 1135 is a 3,000-ton class anti-submarine frigates commissioned by the Soviet Navy between 1970 and the early 1990s. The class comprises Project 1135/Burevestnik/Krivak I (21 ships 1970-1980), Project 1135M/Krivak II (11 ships 1975-1982) and Project 1135.5/Nerey/Krivak III (8 ships 1984-1993). The Project 1135.5, NATO code Krivak III, was initially designed for use by the KGB Maritime Border Guard but finally were handed over to the Soviet Navy. These ships feature one Ka-27 helicopter, a single 100mm single-barrel gun, two 30mm anti-aircraft guns, one OSA-M surface-to-air missile system, two RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket systems and eight 21-inch torpedo tubes.
