Description: The Project 1154.0 class frigates were intended as successors for Soviet Krivak class anti-submarine warfare (ASW) frigates. Due to funds availability two out of three ships were scrapped before completion with only one ship, Neustrashimy, commissioned. Project 1154.0 incorporates some stealth technologies.

The Neustrashimy frigate has an aft flight deck and hangar for operating one anti-submarine helicopter, typically the Ka-27 Helix. The weapons system also includes a 100mm naval gun system, 8 Uran anti-ship missiles, 32 9M330 and 64 9M311 surface-to-air missiles for ship self-defense against airborne threats, two 30mm Close-In Weapons Systems (CIWS), 6 21-inch torpedo tubes and 12 RPK-6 anti-submarine rockets.
