Description: The Ground Standoff Mine Detection System-Future Combat Systems (GSTAMIDS-FCS) is a system for mine detection, marking, reporting, and neutralization to be fielded on a robotic countermine vehicle. The US Army selected BAE Systems in 2004 to develop the GSTAMIDS capability for the FCS MULE countermine robotic vehicle. The System Development and Demonstration (SDD) contract is valued at $94 million (as of September 2006).
