Friday, July 23, 2004 Government of Canada contract awarded to Sikorsky-led Maritime Helicopter team for the supply of 28 H-92 helicopters as replacement for aging Sea Kings owned by the Canadian Armed Forces. The award was announced on July 23, 2004. The $3 billion contract also included support services over a 20-year period. The first H-92 aircraft delivery was expected in 2008.
