Description:
The Ivchenko-Progress AI-450 aircraft turboshaft engine has been designed to power single- and twin-engine helicopters in the 1.5 to 4 tons maximum takeoff weight range such as Ka-226, Mi-2A and Ansat. The engine features modular design which translates into simplified assembly and overhaul. Ivchenko-Progress along with Motor Sich are developing several versions with higher power output (AI-450-2), turboprop engine (AI-450TP) and auxiliary power unit (AI-450MS).
