Description: The Arrius is a family of turboshaft engines introduced in 1981 to power a wide range of rotary-wing single and twin-engine aircraft. Over 2,000 engines have been produced by Turbomeca (Safran Group) for 430 customers in 60 countries. These engines have logged more than 2.8 million flight hours so far. This engine family features extreme simplicity design and mainly consists of four basic variants: Arrius 1A/1M, Arrius 2F, Arrius 2B1/2B2 and Arrius 2K1/2K2. Power at take-off ranges from 479-shp to 716-shp.

The Arrius 2G is a further variant of Arrius 2 that has been specifically designed to power Kamov's Ka-226 utility helicopter according to a 2002 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turbomeca.
