Description: The Makila turboshaft has been designed in 5 modules for a better maintainability. The Makila engines power medium-size Eurocopter's Super Puma/Cougar helicopters.

The latest derivative of Makila, named Makila 2A, was designed to power EC225/EC725 helicopters, Super Puma's newest variant. Makila 2A is the most powerful version of Turbomeca's Makila engine.
