Description: Rolls Royce and Turbomeca jointly developed the RTM322 engine to suit a wide range of commercial and military helicopter requirements.

The -01/9 engine will power the NH90 helicopter. Until May 2005, the RTM322 engine was already selected to power the NH90 helicopters ordered by Australia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Portugal and Sweden. This translatates into 90 percent of NH90 orders to be powered by RTM322 engines.

The Turbomeca RTM322-01/9 engine was qualified for the NH90 multi-role helicopter in October 2005 one year after its civil certification. The initial version would be rated at 2,427-shp with the potential to grow out to 2,600-shp.
