Description:
The Sagem Defense Securite's EUROFLIR is a high-performance multifunction, gyro-stabilized airborne surveillance system featuring low operational maintenance and advanced image processing. The payload options include up to four sensors: latest generation infrared cameras, television optical channel, laser telemeter and eye safe laser designator. The resulting sensor package provides enhanced identification and range finding.
In early 2008, the EUROFLIR pod was selected for the overhaul of the French Army's Light Aviation's (ALAT) Eurocopter AS 532 Cougar helicopters.
