Description: The Revolutionary Approach To Time-critical Long Range Strike (RATTLRS) is a cutting-edge technology program aimed at providing a long range strike cruise missile for the US armed forces. The Office of Naval Research (ONR) is funding the project which is being held at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Palmdale, California. Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control is cooperating in the RATTLRS weapon system development. As of 2005, Lockheed Martin was studying the chance of a boosted penetrator to arm the RATTLRS which would be far more effective against hardened and buried targets. The program was expected to experience further development during 2006.
