Description:
Oshkosh Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) is an 8x8 tractor, called the M1070, capable of towing a 70-ton semi-trailer, M1000. HET is used by the United States Army to transport heavy payloads such as the M1A1/A2 Abrams main battle tank. It is equipped with a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS). M1070 tractor along with the M1000 semi-trailer is also known as the Heavy Equipment Transporter System (HETS).
