Description: The MUNGO is a wheeled, air-transportable, Light Armored Vehicle designed to be carried by aircraft or helicopter. It can accommodate up to 10 fully equipped soldiers or up to 2 tons of payload. In addition, the MUNGO armored vehicle can be outfitted with add-on tools such as dozerblade, excavator, etc.

The MUNGO armored vehicle has been optimized to be carried by CH53 and CH47 helicopters, and C-130, C-160, CN-235/295 and A400M aircraft.

Due to operational needs identified by the German Army in Afghanistan, the German Ministry of Defense ordered the procurement of a first batch of MUNGO vehicles consisting of 388 units with an estimated total figure of over 900 MUNGOs.
