Description: The Raytheon's AN/AAS-52 is a multi-spectral system designed to provide surveillance, targeting, rangefinding, tracking and laser designation for Hellfire missiles and other laser-guided munitions. Basically, it consists of spot laser, IR and Electro-Optical sensors. This system is combat proven and is available for rotary wing, UAVs and fixed-wing platforms.

The US Army AN/AAS-53 Common Sensor Payload is sensor suite designed for reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition missions derived from the Raytheon's Multi-spectral Targeting System (MTS). The US Army awarded to Raytheon the $11 million Common Sensor development contract in November 2007. The program is valued at $1.2 billion for approximately 875 units of Army Common Sensor. The new payload is scheduled for integration into both manned and unmanned aircraft.
